Inspired by France’s “Fête de la Musique,” Make Music Chicago is a live, one-day music festival on the first day of summer that celebrates the role of music in our lives. People of all ages, music of all genres, amateurs, professionals, and marquee artists will gather throughout the day in Chicago’s public spaces to engage in spontaneous music making. Performance sites include Daley Plaza, PianoForte Chicago, the Chicago Cultural Center, St. James Cathedral Commons, and the North Michigan Avenue and Lincoln Park Apple stores.
